Bambuco

Bambuco (also: el bambuco ) is a style of music that comes from Andean Colombia .

In terms of time, the Bambuco is similar to the European waltz or the Polska (not Polka ). It has either 6/8 or 3/4 time . It is usually sung in a duet and accompanied by guitar (s) and tiple .

Typically Bambuco is also danced accompanying, so Bambuco is also the name of the dance.

The music genre contains elements of the African, Spanish and indigenous music of the Colombian Andean peoples.
