Banafshe Hourmazdi

Banafshe Hourmazdi (* 1990 ) is a German- Iranian film actress .

Life

Banafshe Hourmazdi grew up in the Ruhr area . From 2009 to 2012 she studied acting at the Academy for Performing Arts in Baden-Württemberg. From 2012 to 2015 she attended the master’s degree in acting at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).

In 2013 she took on the title role in the Swiss premiere of Alice based on Tom Waits (director: Andreas Herrmann) at the Lucerne Theater. In 2014 she played at Ballhaus Ost in the play development Société des Amis (director: Jan Koslowski ). With this production she also made a guest appearance in 2015 at the Körber Studio Junge Regie, as well as at the Fast Forward Festival at the Braunschweig State Theater .

In 2015 she received the Newcomer Prize of the City of Vienna for her production Meine Nase geht at Theater Drachengasse Vienna .

In the movie Futur Three of Faraz Shariat she plays the lead role Banafshe.

Banafshe Hourmazdi lives in Berlin.
