The Banants Stadium ( Armenian մարզադաշտ "Բանանց" ) is a football stadium in the Armenian city of Yerevan . The FC Banants Yerevan football club plays its home games here. The playing field has dimensions of 105 × 68 meters.
history
Construction of the sports facility began in 2006 with the support of UEFA . Two years later the stadium was opened. Renovation work began in 2011 and the reopening took place in 2012. Since then, the Armenian first division club FC Banants Yerevan has played its home games there. The facility has 4860 seats. Six training fields next to the stadium serve the youth teams of Banants Yerevan.
In November 2016, three games of the 7th group of the first qualifying round of the U-19 European Football Championship 2017 took place in the Banants Stadium: Switzerland against Armenia (4-0), Italy against Armenia (2-1) and Italy against the Switzerland (1: 1).
