Banyuwangi Tour de Ijen

The Banyuwangi Tour de Ijen is an Indonesian bike race around the city of Banyuwangi in East Java .

The Tour de Ijen is a stage race that was first held in 2012 as part of a culture festival. It is organized by the Indonesian government and the tourism authority. The tour takes place in December. It is part of the UCI Asia Tour and is classified in category 2.2. The name Tour de Ijen comes from the fact that a stage ends at the crater of the Ijen volcano.

The first edition was won in 2012 by Ki Ho Choi from Hong Kong ahead of the former professional Óscar Pujol and the German Timo Scholz .
