Baka-Dschat or Baqa-Dschatt ( Hebrew באקה-ג'ת Bāqah-Ǧat , Arabic باقة جتّ, DMG Bāqa Ǧatt , English Baqa-Jatt ) was a city in Israel that existed from 2003 to 2010.

Baqa-Dschatt was in Haifa District , Hadera Sub- District , near the Green Line . The city belonged to the Arab triangle or triangle with almost exclusively Arab-Israeli inhabitants.
history
Baqa-Dschatt was created in 2003 by merging Baqa al-Ġarbijja and the neighboring town of Dschatt. The unpopular unit was dissolved again by a Knesset resolution in 2010 with effect from November 1st.
Baqa al-Ġarbijja
The oldest mention of the place Baqa ( Arabic باقة, DMG Bāqa 'Bouquet, bouquet of flowers') dates back to 1265, during the campaign of Baibar I , he sold land on the site as a fief to military followers. In the 17th century settlement centers were formed two three kilometers apart, which have since been known as Baqa al-Ġarbijja ( Arabic باقة الغربية, DMG Bāqa al-Ġarbiyya 'West Baqa', Hebrew באקה אל-ע'רבייה, English Baqa al-Gharbiyye ) and Baqa al-Sharqijja ( Arabic باقة الشرقية, DMG Bāqa aš-Šarqiyya 'East Baqa'), now beyond the Green Line , can be distinguished.
In 1952, Baqa al-Ġarbijja became a municipal administration . Baqa al-Ġarbijja received city status in 1996. The place has an area of 9.5 km². From 2003 to 2010, Baqa al-Ġarbijja formed part of the city of Baqa-Jatt .

Dschatt
The village of Dschatt ( Hebrew ג'ת, Arabic جت, DMG Ǧatt , English Jatt ) was founded in 1782. In 1959 it became its own municipal administration and retained this status until the merger in 2003. The place Jatt has an area of 7 km². From 2003 to 2010 Dschatt formed part of the city of Baqa-Dschatt .

In 2003 the two places Baqa al-Ġarbijja and Dschatt were combined to form the new city of Baqa-Dschatt.
