Barak Itzhaki ( Hebrew ברק יצחקי; Born September 25, 1984 in Ashkelon ) is a former Israeli soccer player .
Club career
The striker comes from Hapoel Aschkelon's youth team . In 2003, Beitar Jerusalem brought Itzhaki into their team. He played at Beitar Jerusalem for five years and scored 18 goals. In January 2008 he moved to the Belgian club KRC Genk , where he signed a three and a half year contract. His compatriot Elyaniv Barda also played at KRC Genk . Itzhaki wore the number 99 on his back.
After six months, Itzhaki decided to return to Jerusalem and signed a four-year contract with Beitar Jerusalem.
From 2010 until his retirement in 2018, he played with Maccabi Tel Aviv with a short break .
National team career
On June 2, 2007, Itzhaki made his debut for the senior national team against Macedonia . In total, he played eleven times for his country until 2009 and scored one goal.
