Barbara DeGenevieve
Barbara DeGenevieve (born May 21, 1947 in Wilkes-Barre , Pennsylvania , † 2014 ) was an American artist and educator who was known for her controversial work and her role in the American "culture wars". Her work has mainly dealt with issues of human sexuality , including transsexuality , sado-masochism, and pornography . She taught at the Art Institute of Chicago for two decades and held the photography department until her death. Her work has been exhibited internationally.
