Barbara Richartz

Barbara M. Richartz (born May 20, 1962 in Düsseldorf ) is a German cardiologist and since March 2010 chief physician of the cardiology department and deputy medical director of internal medicine at the Jägerwinkel Clinic in Bad Wiessee .

Career

After graduating from high school in 1981 at Heinrich-Heine Gymnasium Mettmann, she studied human medicine at Heinrich-Heine University in Düsseldorf and at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelm University in Bonn , which she graduated with III. Graduated from the state examination and licensed as a doctor in 1987. Richartz was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Internal Medicine, Cardiology Division with H. Taegtmeyer at the University of Houston , Texas and the Texas Heart Institute with OH Frazier from 1995 to 1997 and from October 2003 to September 2005 Senior Consultant in Medical Clinic I, Cardiology (R. Haberl), at the Munich-West Clinic, academic teaching hospital of the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

Since 2007, Richartz has appeared as a scientific expert in internal medicine, cardiology and prevention in print and TV media. She has also been the chief physician of the cardiology department and deputy medical director of internal medicine at the Jägerwinkel Clinic in Bad Wiessee am Tegernsee since 2010 .

Richartz obtained her doctorate in 1990 at the Friedrich-Wilhelm University of Bonn with the subject of "Pharmacokinetic examinations using HPLC using the example of regional limb perfusion" . In 2005, Richartz completed his habilitation in internal medicine at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena with the habilitation topic "Experimental and clinical examinations of the endothelial function in dilated cardiomyopathy " . In the same year she was awarded the Facultas Docendi (teaching qualification) for internal medicine by the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena. Two years later she received the Venia legendi (license to teach) and was appointed private lecturer for internal medicine by the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena.

Richartz completed his habilitation in 2011 at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, with the continuing granting of teaching qualifications and authorization to teach. Since 2016 she has been teaching “Medical ethics and borderline issues in medicine, philosophy and theology” at the Munich University of Philosophy in cooperation with the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich.

Richartz has been married to Kay-Oliver Kliche since 1993. The couple have two children.
