Barbara Zimmermann (writer)

Barbara Zimmermann (* May 24, 1950 in Altötting as Barbara Ulbrich ) is a German journalist and writer who is best known for the publication of books for children and young people.

life and work

Barbara Zimmermann, born in 1950 in Altötting in Upper Bavaria, trained as a goldsmith. She has also been active in literature since 1980, and since 1981 she has continuously appeared with her works at readings in schools, kindergartens, city libraries, museums and other cultural events.

In 1987 she received the State Capital Düsseldorf's Literature Prize for her authorship .

In addition to her work as an artist and writer, she also worked as a film journalist and wrote numerous articles in professional magazines in the field of film and video. In 1997 she was involved in the compilation for Das Handbuch - reference work for film and video fans .

Barbara Zimmermann has lived and worked in Düsseldorf since 1960. She has a son.
