Barbilophozia (German Bart-Spitzmoos ) is a genus of leafy liverworts from the Lophoziaceae family .

features

The medium-sized plants grow prostrate to upright. The leaves are usually much wider than they are long and have three to four lobes. A number of species have cilia on the leaf base. Sub-leaves have two columns, sometimes they are absent.

The species are diocesan , often sterile. The egg to pear-shaped perianthia are deeply folded. Brood bodies are sometimes formed.
