Bardhyl Adem Selimi (born August 25, 1945 in Kosovo ) is an Albanian Esperantist and mathematician .

Life

Selimi was born in Kosovo at the end of August 1945 and lived in Tirana from 1946 . He graduated from the University of Tirana with a degree in mathematics in 1967 and then taught mathematics at various institutions in the Albanian education system for 40 years. He worked for several years as a board member and secretary of the Albanian Esperanto Institute and worked on the dictionary Plena Ilustrita Vortaro as well as one of the permanent editors of the Esperanto- language monthly magazine MONTO . The World Esperanto Congress ( Universala Kongreso ) in Reykjavík honored him in 2013 for his activities for the Albanian Esperanto movement.

Selimi is married and has two daughters.

  • La sloganoj el ŝtonoj ("Parullat me gurë") . By Ylljet Aliçka , Albanian writer and Albanian ambassador to France. Stories from the life of Albania during the dictatorship of Enver Hoxha and from the life of the new Albania after the coup. The translation into Esperanto was done by Bardhyl Selimi and Tomasz Chmielik . A second, corrected edition appeared in 2019:
