Bargengau
The Bargengau was created in the 10th and 11th centuries as Grafschaft Bargen by the Conradines and was first mentioned as such in 965 on the occasion of a gift from King Rudolf II to the Moutier-Grandval monastery . It comprised the region from the middle Jura to the Stockhorn chain and the Aare as an eastern boundary.
