Daniel José Bamberg (born April 23, 1984 in São Lourenço do Oeste , Santa Catarina ) is a Brazilian soccer player . The midfielder with German - Austrian roots has been mainly active in Scandinavia since 2006 .

Career

After stints at Portuguesa , Fortaleza EC and ABC Natal in his home country, Bamberg moved to the Swedish second division IFK Norrköping in the Superettan in 2006 , where he signed a contract that was valid until the end of the 2006 season. In nine games he scored three goals, as fourth in the table, the club missed promotion to the Allsvenskan . After a stint at Figueirense FC , he returned to Sweden in March 2007 and signed a new two-year contract with IFK Norrköping. With nine goals this season, he led the club into the Swedish House of Lords. There he ran up in 28 games and scored five goals, but the club was relegated straight away. Despite the relegation and offers from competitors from the Allsvenskan, he remained loyal to the club. In the following two second division seasons he scored four goals each, the 2010 season he ended with the club as second in the table on a promotion place.

Bamberg left Sweden in the spring of 2011 despite being promoted to Allsvenskan and joined the Norwegian club FK Haugesund , where he signed a three-year contract. Although there regular player and with eight goals this season in the Tippeligaen also successful as an offensive player, he left the club after one season and returned to Sweden, where he joined Örebro SK . At the side of Samuel Wowoah , Tobias Grahn and Patrik Haginge , he made 21 season appearances in the Allsvenskan and was relegated with the club at the end of the season. Shortly before the end of the winter transfer period , he returned to FK Haugesund in March 2013. Again a regular player, he qualified with the club as third in the table for the European Cup.
