The Superettan 2010 was the eleventh season of the second highest Swedish football league under this name and the 82nd season since the official introduction of such in 1928. The season began on April 10 and ended on October 23, 2010.
Syrianska FC rose as the second division champions for the first time in the club's history to the Allsvenskan , co-promoted was the multiple national champion IFK Norrköping . In addition, GIF Sundsvall qualified for the relegation games to the first division, but lost both games against Gefle IF . At the bottom of the table, FC Trollhättan and Väsby United were relegated. Jönköpings Södra IF and Östers IF competed in the relegation to Division 1 , but won all games against IK Sirius and Qviding FIF, respectively . In February 2011, Örgryte IS filed for bankruptcy. The club was downgraded to third division and replaced by Qviding FIF as the best loser in the relegation games.

particularities
Because of the double murder of Assyriska-Föreningen player Eddie Moussa and his brother on July 1, 2010 in the "Oasen" game club, the game between Föreningen and Ängelholm scheduled for July 1, 2010 was initially canceled. It was made up on September 1st.
