Peter Samuelsson (born November 20, 1981 in Degerfors ) is a Swedish football player . The striker has played his career so far in his home country and Norway.

Career

Samuelsson played at Degerfors IF when he was young . After he had not been able to prevail there initially, he joined the amateur club Strömtorps IK , with whom he competed in the third highest division. At the beginning of 2004 he moved back to Degerfors IF within the highest Swedish amateur class. With four goals in 20 games, he contributed to the club's promotion to the Superettan , but there he was only left with the role of a supplementary player.

In 2006, Samuelsson moved to Norway for third division team Nybergsund IL-Trysil , which he left after a season in the direction of Kongsvinger IL . Initially mainly used as a substitute, he gained a regular place over the course of the season, especially due to his goal threat. Ultimately, he was one of the most dangerous players in the Adeccoligaen with 14 goals this season in the 2007 season , but as fourth in the table he missed promotion to the Tippeligaen with the team one point behind FK Bodø / Glimt . In the following season, neither he nor the club could build on the performance of the previous year, at the end of the season the club was relegated to the third division.

Samuelsson returned to Sweden and again joined Degerfors IF. With 17 goals in 22 season games, he was one of the guarantors for the club's promotion to the Superettan. He also scored double digits in the second-highest division in the following seasons, so that he found himself among the top three goalscorers in both the 2010 and 2011 seasons. Shortly after the end of the 2011 season, the first division club Örebro SK signed him , where he received the number “10” on his back . Due to an injury, however, he could not get a kick at his new club, so in the summer the club loaned him back to Degerfors IF. Here he scored nine goals in twelve games. After his return to Örebro SK, which has meanwhile been relegated from Allsvenskan , he was again unable to earn a permanent place, on the offensive he was in the shadow of Karl Holmberg and Shpëtim Hasani in particular . With only three goals this season, he was involved in the recovery.

Shortly before Christmas 2013, Samuelsson agreed with Degerfors IF to return at the beginning of 2014, he received a two-year contract.
