Linus Hallenius (born April 1, 1989 in Sundsvall ) is a Swedish football player .

Career

The dangerous left- footer had spent his youth at IFK Sundsvall until he joined the pros at GIF Sundsvall in 2006 . There he made his debut in 2006 in the Swedish Superettan . In three and a half years at Sundsvall, he scored ten goals in 57 league games. Halfway through the 2009 season, he moved to the first division club Hammarby IF in Fotbollsallsvenskan . After teething problems - he remained goalless in the first eight games - he scored 17 times in 21 games in the second season at Hammarby.

During the summer break of 2010 the CFC signed Genoa Hallenius, but loaned him back to Hammarby in the winter of 2010/11. In January 2011 he moved permanently to Genoa, but remained without a job. To give him match practice, he was awarded to FC Lugano in February 2011 . This was possible because the transfer window in Switzerland is open longer. In Switzerland he did not get beyond the role as a substitute and scored three times in nine missions. In the summer of 2011 he was awarded to the second division team Calcio Padova until the end of the season . In 2013/14 Hallenius was loaned to FC Aarau . From July 2014 to January 2016 he played again for Hammarby IF, then until December 2016 for Helsingborgs IF . In the 2017 calendar year he was again under contract with GIF Sundsvall .

Others

In the game against Syrianska FC he scored a long-range goal that was reminiscent of Marco van Bassen's goal in the final of the 1988 European Championship . He was for this hit FIFA Puskás Award of FIFA nominated for Goal of the Year of 2010.
