Pär Cederqvist (born March 10, 1980 ) is a former Swedish football player . The striker made his career in his home country, Norway and England.

Career

Cederqvist played in his youth at IFK Värnamo , where he later appeared in the adult team. After five seasons he moved from the third division in January 2003 to the Stockholm club Djurgårdens IF in the Allsvenskan , where he signed a three-year contract. As a substitute player, he played five first division games as a substitute for the reigning champions before he was loaned to the second division side Åtvidabergs FF . In the Superettan , he distinguished himself as a regular goalscorer and contributed to reaching fourth place in the table with six goals this season. Even after his return he came in the 2004 season only to three games as a substitute, so that he moved to the second division Östers IF in the summer . When he was relegated from the previous year, he was a regular player straight away, despite his twelve goals in 17 games, the club missed direct promotion as fifth in the table. In his second season at the club, one goal less successfully over the entire season, the club returned to the Swedish elite series as second behind AIK . Here he could not confirm his goal threat, he only scored one goal of the season.

In August 2006 Cederqvist left Östers IF and moved to Raufoss IL in Norway . His stay at the third division was only short, and after the end of the season he moved on to the English club FC Walsall . Here, however, he did not get beyond the role of reservist and therefore returned to Sweden in the summer of 2007. At Landskrona BoIS he signed a two and a half year contract. In the following years he distinguished himself as a dangerous striker, but did not come with the club beyond places in the rear midfield of the Superettan. After his contract expired at the end of 2009, he moved within the league to Jönköpings Södra IF , with whom he agreed a three-year contract. If he was third in the list of goalscorers last year with his 14 goals this season, he placed fourth in the 2010 season with just as many goals. Nevertheless, he came with the club in danger of relegation, only in the relegation games against IK Sirius was relegation managed. In the first leg he scored the decisive goal for the 1-0 away win, as well as the last hit in the 3-0 return win. In May of the following year, he suffered a foot injury that required a long break. Only in autumn did he return to the sports field, with four goals scored in eleven games over the course of the season, he contributed to reaching the last non-relegation place.
