Jackie Lynn Acevedo (born January 18, 1987 in Austin , Texas ) is a Mexican - American soccer player who was last under contract with Portland Thorns FC in the National Women's Soccer League in the 2014 season.
Career
society
Acevedo began her career while studying at the University of Tennessee and Southern Nazarene University in the university teams there. In parallel, she ran in the 2010 season for the W-League participant Hudson Valley Quickstrike Lady Blues . From 2012 to 2013 she played for the Oklahoma Alliance and Houston Aces franchises in the WPSL .
At the player allocation for the 2014 season of the NWSL , Acevedo was assigned to the Portland Thorns FC franchise and completed two short assignments there during the season. Prior to the 2015 season, it was no longer in the Mexican allocation pool.
National team
At the beginning Acevedo played for youth national teams of the US American Football Association , before she later played in the Mexican U-20 national team and with this took part in the U-20 World Cup in 2006 . On November 24, 2013, she made her debut in a friendly against Canada in the Mexican national soccer team .
