Barlas Bank ( English ) is a small submarine bank off the north coast of South Georgia . It is located 2.5 km southeast of Cape Buller on the west side of the entrance to the Bay of Isles .

Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations mapped them between 1929 and 1930 and named them after William Barlas (1888-1941), representative of the United Kingdom on Deception Island and the rest of the South Shetland Islands (1914-1915) and on various occasions on South Georgia (1928-1941) ).
