Barntown Castle ( Irish Caisleán Bhaile to Bharúnaigh ) is the ruin of a tower house in Barntown , about 5 km west of Wexford in the Irish County Wexford on the main road to New Ross .
These are ruins in the middle of a pasture. A Georgian country house replaced the Niederungsburg as the home of the owner family, currently the Joyce family . The ruins of the castle serve as a shelter for the cattle.
