The Barpu Glacier is located in the western Karakoram in the Pakistani special territory of Gilgit-Baltistan .
The Barpu Glacier has a length of 25 km. It initially flows north through the northern part of the Rakaposhi Haramosh Mountains . The northern slope of the Phuparash forms the nutrient area of the Barpu Glacier . In the upper reaches of the Miar Glacier flows into the Barpu Glacier on the left. 8 kilometers further north, the Sumayar Bar Glacier meets the glacier when coming from the right. This turns gradually to the northwest and ends on the east side of the Bualtar Glacier . The Bualtar glacier joins the Hispar after another 5 km north of the Hopar Nagar settlement .
