The Sumayar Bar Glacier (also Sumayar Bar ) is located in the western Karakoram in the Pakistani special territory of Gilgit-Baltistan .
The Sumayar Bar Glacier has a length of 20 km. It has its nutrient area on the northern slope of the 7458 m high Malubiting . The 7027 m high Spantik rises to the east of the glacier . Between these two mountains is the Polan La , a 5840 m high saddle, which forms a transition to the Chogolungma glacier further east . The Sumayar Bar Glacier initially flows in a northerly direction, later in a northwesterly direction. It separates the Rakaposhi Haramosh Mountains in the west from the Spantik Sosbun Mountains in the east and north. The Sumayar Bar Glacier eventually meets the Barpu Glacier and unites with it. The Bualtar Glacier lies further downstream . The total length including these two glaciers is 32 km.
