The Bualtar Glacier is located in the western Karakoram in the Pakistani special territory of Gilgit-Baltistan .
The Bualtar Glacier has a length of 23 km. It flows in a northerly direction through the northern part of the Rakaposhi Haramosh Mountains . At the south-western end of the Bualtar Glacier, the 7,266 m high summit of Diran rises up. The glacier is bounded in the south by the mountain ridge that connects the Diran in the west with the Miar Chhish I in the east. The Barpu Glacier meets the Bualtar Glacier on the right. This joins the Hispar after another 5 km north of the Hopar Nagar settlement .
