The Miar Chhish ( English Miar Peak ) is a mountain in the western Karakoram in the Pakistani special territory Gilgit-Baltistan .
location
The Miar Chhish is located in the Rakaposhi Haramosh Mountains . The mountain has a height of 6824 m and is part of a ridge that connects the Diran in the west with the Malubiting in the east . On the south flank, the Burchegletscher flows in a westerly direction. The Miar Chhish also has the secondary peaks Miar Chish II ( 6785 m ) and Miar Chish III ( 6574 m ) further to the east . The Bualtar Glacier is located on the northern slope of the Miar Chhish main summit, and the Miar Glacier on the eastern slope . The latter flows as a tribute glacier into the Barpu glacier , which in turn meets the Bualtar glacier.
Ascent history
In 1981 an Italian expedition attempted the first ascent of Miar Chhish over the Miar Glacier. The Miar Chhish has not yet been climbed.
