The former Bartholomäer Institute (spelling in the list of architectural monuments: St. Bartholomäer Institute ) in Ingolstadt Johannesstraße 11 is a listed former seminary . It was built on the basis of three previous medieval buildings in two phases of construction in 1687 and 1721 as a three-storey, elongated eaves house with a hipped roof . After the secularization , the interior was partially rebuilt and used by the Bavarian Army first as a hospital and then as an officers' mess. Since 1953 the building has been used by the local Kolping Educational Center and has been repeatedly expanded and modernized. The name goes back to the priestly community of the Bartholomeans .
