Bartholomäus Kruger

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bartholomäus Krüger (* around 1540 in Sperenberg , † after 1597 in Trebbin ) was a German writer. Between 1580 and 1597 he can be traced back to Trebbin as town clerk and organist. Krüger is the author of the people's book of Hans Clauert's work histories , which was written in 1587. It can be assumed that he himself knew the real model of his book, the cattle dealer Hans Clauert , who died of the plague in 1566 . The work has similarities with Till Eulenspiegel , but has clear local references. Johannes Bobrowski took up the subject in 1956 in the youth book Hans Clauert, the Märkische Eulenspiegel .
