Bartholomaeus Coloniensis

Bartholomaeus Coloniensis , also Bartholomäus of Cologne , Bartholomäus Zehenter , Bartholomäus Zehender and Bartholomaeus Decimator , (* around 1460, † around 1516 in Minden ) was a German humanist and rector of the Minden Cathedral School .

Bartholomaeus Coloniensis, a student of Alexander Hegius in Deventer , was himself a teacher in Deventer, Alkmaar (1511–1513), Zwolle and Münster . Among other things, he taught Erasmus von Rotterdam , and Hermann von dem Busche is said to have known him. Together with Rudolph von Langen , he reformed the cathedral school in Münster. Finally he went to the cathedral school in Minden as rector. His successor there was Johann Pollius .
