Bartolomeo Rabaliatti
Vincentius Bartholomäus Rabaliatti (* in the 17th century in the province of Ferrara , Italy ; † 1723 in Rüthen ) was a Westphalian stonemason who had moved from Italy and who helped build Westphalian castles, among other things.
Life
Rabaliatti, father of Franz Wilhelm Rabaliatti , came from the Ferrara area to the Westphalian town of Rüthen around 1703 , "which became an Eldorado for stonemasons and sculptors in the building boom after the Thirty Years' War due to the sandstone quarries ." He acquired citizenship in Rüthen . But since he was (still) poor , he was only able to raise the Emmergeld and a first installment of the citizens' money.
On July 21, 1703 Rabaliatti was married to Catharina Röper from Rüthen. His place of origin is also explicitly mentioned in the marriage register: "Casel provincia ferrariensis." From this marriage Rabaliatti had four children, a son Johann Anton (* February 17, 1710) and three daughters: Dorothea Elisabeth (* April 1, 1704), Catharina Elisabeth (* April 28, 1706) and Anna Elisabeth (* December 8, 1707).
After the death of his wife, Rabaliatti entered into a second marriage with Elisabeth Hartmann, daughter of the stone carver Wolfgang Engelsberger. From this second marriage there are four more sons and a daughter: Caspar Theodor (November 17, 1711), Franz Wilhelm (January 16, 1714), Ernst Joseph (April 17, 1719), Francisca Theresia (* July 22, 1721) and Johannes Antonius (born August 10, 1723).
As a stonemason, Rabaliatti was involved in the construction of Erpernburg Castle (near Brenken ), Körtlinghausen Castle , Herringhausen Castle and Herdringen Castle .
