Bartosz Sikorski

Bartosz Sikorski (* 1974 in Bytom ) is a Polish double bass player and painter.

Bartosz Sikorski studied double bass with Gerard Przybyla and Tadeusz Pelczar (University of Music in Warsaw) and with Klaus Stoll and Michael Wolf ( University of the Arts in Berlin). He also studied abstract painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Erwin Bohatsch .

Since 2000 he has held a position as a double bass player with the Vienna Philharmonic . In 2002 he became a member of the Circus Bassissimus .

In 2012 he received the Pfann Ohmann Prize .

Bartosz Sikorski has made numerous appearances as a soloist and on projects related to jazz and the visual arts.
