Basic data

Basic data is the basis of every information system and cannot be specifically assigned to any specialist discipline, but is of general importance.

In contrast to this are the factual data or technical basic data . They "arise" in a specialist department or are "managed" there, but are often of interest to other departments (e.g. waterway network , transport network or data on building land ).
