Basic pass equestrian studies

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In Germany, the basic horse passport (BP) is the prerequisite for acquiring a badge in equestrian sport .

The basic horse knowledge pass as a prerequisite for badges of achievement

The following badges can be acquired on this basis:

The basic pass for equine studies was newly introduced by the training and examination regulations (APO) in 2000. So until 2013 it was the prerequisite for the lowest badge in riding, western riding, driving, lunging and vaulting. These in turn were a prerequisite for each higher badge.

With the APO 2014, the previous motivational badges (Hobby Horse , Small Horseshoe , Large Horseshoe ) were converted into age-open badges. However, these can still be taken without the basic horse knowledge pass. With the introduction of APO 2014, either successful participation in the basic pass exam or the acquisition of the riding badges 6 and 7 is a prerequisite for acquiring the next higher performance badge (riding badge 5, vaulting badge 4, driving badge 5 and lunging badge 5). These are still a prerequisite for the higher badge.

Course and exam

In a course for the basic horse science pass, you learn basic knowledge of handling and keeping horses, as well as their behavior. Even people who do not ride themselves can take the basic horse passport, e.g. B. the parents of riding children or partners of equestrians.

The basic pass exam consists of a theoretical and a practical part. It requires knowledge of the basics of horse keeping and skills in handling horses .
