Basudebpur , also Basudevpur , is a city in the Indian state of Odisha .
The city is part of the Bhadrak district . Basudebpur has the status of a Municipal Council . The city is divided into 23 wards . On the cut-off date of the 2011 census, it had 33,690 inhabitants, of whom 16,927 were men and 16,763 women . The literacy rate in 2011 was 81.3% and thus above the national average. Hindus make up the majority of the city's population with a share of around 89%. Muslims form a minority with a share of around 11%.
