The Batura Glacier is located in the western Karakoram in the Pakistani special territory of Gilgit-Baltistan .
The Batura glacier has a length of 57 km. This makes it one of the largest and longest non-polar glaciers on earth. It flows in an easterly direction. The Batura Muztagh mountain group with the so-called “Batura Wall” extends along its south side. The glacier ends on the west bank of the Hunza River not far from the village of Passu .
