The farmhouse “St. Medardus ” is located at Hauptstrasse 50 in Tannheim in the Biberach district in Upper Swabia . It has an entry in the directory of immovable architectural and art monuments and the objects to be inspected by the Baden-Württemberg State Monuments Office , created in 1978, as of May 11, 2013.

The farmhouse is a two-story plastered building with a scissor roof truss, consisting of a residential wing, an agricultural section and an attached shop . It was built in 1659/60 and is located opposite the old rectory . The naming of the farmhouse with the holy name St. Medardus was made by the Ochsenhausen abbot Cölestin Frener . The bedrooms are located above the living room with a plank beam ceiling . The agricultural part consists of a stable.

The grocery retail business continued into the 1980s. There is a separate woodshed within the property. The furnishings of the living room, agricultural equipment and the sales room have hardly been changed or preserved in the last 100 years.
