from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the series, 099 of were with the introduction of computerized numbering 1,968 at the German Federal Railways the remaining narrow gauge locomotives of the series 99 classified. The previous company number was only supplemented by a leading 0.

When the number system of the Deutsche Bundesbahn was introduced at the Deutsche Reichsbahn on January 1, 1992, the existing narrow-gauge locomotives were classified in the 099 series. All locomotives were given new company numbers that did not allow any reference to the previous numbers. However, there was an indication of the gauge used (see also the drawing plan for narrow-gauge traction vehicles 1992 ).
