Bay (Aksu)
Bay district ( Chinese 拜 城县 , Pinyin Bàichéng Xiàn ; Uighur باي ناھىيىسى Bay Naⱨiyisi ) of the Aksu administrative district is located in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . It has an area of 15,889 km² and has a population of 200,000 (2003). Its main town is the large municipality of Baicheng (拜 城镇).
The Kizil Thousand Buddha Caves ( Kezi'er Qianfodong ) in Bay County have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (1-41) since 1961 .
