The Kalpin District ( Chinese  柯坪 县 , Pinyin Kēpíng Xiàn ; Uyghur كەلپىن ناھىيىسى Kəlpin Naⱨiyisi ) of the Aksu administrative district is located in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . It has an area of ​​8,976.6 km² and has 40,000 inhabitants (2004). Its main town is the large municipality of Kalpin (柯 坪镇).
