The Bazardüzü Dağı ( Russian Базардюзю , Basardjusju ) is at 4466 m the highest mountain in Azerbaijan and the Republic of Dagestan within the Russian Federation .
The mountain is located a few kilometers north of the main ridge of the Greater Caucasus . The border between Azerbaijan and Russia runs across the summit.
About seven kilometers southwest of the summit is the southernmost point of the Russian Federation.
The summit was first climbed in 1847 by the Russian A. Alexandrow via the northeast ridge.
