Bazyli Bohdanowicz

Bazyli Bohdanowicz (* 1740 in Małopolska ; † February 23, 1817 in Vienna ) was a Polish composer .

Bohdanowicz was a violinist in the orchestra of the Leopoldstädter Theater . He was known for polyphonic, often humorous vocalises that he performed with his large family. Bohdanowicz composed a symphony in which Polish folk music was processed as a symphony for the first time, and a vocalise symphony, as well as polonaise and other dances, two violin duos, other chamber music works and a four-hand piano piece.
