Beastmaster - Lord of the Wild is an Australian - Canadian fantasy series by author Steve Feke , director Michael Offer and producer Brett Popplewell , filmed in the USA from 1999. The series revolves around the adventures of the Beastmaster and refers to the film trilogy Beastmaster - The Liberator , Beastmaster II - The Time Jumper and Beastmaster - The Eye of Braxus .

The warrior Dar, who can talk to animals, which is why he is also called the Beastmaster , and his companion Kyra are the last survivors of their tribe , which was exterminated by the enemy Terron. However, Kyra is kidnapped by the Terron and King Zad tries by all means to catch Dar in order to acquire his extraordinary ability. Dar has to face many adventures and challenges in order to defeat King Zad and the Terron, and to free Kyra and the kingdom .
