Marc Singer
Marc Singer (born January 29, 1948 in Vancouver , British Columbia ) is an American actor of Canadian origin.
Life
His father Jacques Singer was a conductor and his mother Leslie a concert pianist. His sister Lori Singer is an actress and his cousin Bryan is a director. Marc Singer grew up in Corpus Christi , Texas .
Singer is best known for his roles in many science fiction films and series, including Beastmaster and its sequels. The best known is probably the film series V - The extraterrestrial visitors (V) from 1983, in which he played the leading role of Mike Donovan .
With the series, however, he did not achieve the big breakthrough he had hoped for, and he continued to appear mainly in B-productions and in television series such as Dallas , Murder is Her Hobby and Highlander . In 2008, a sequel to V was planned, in which many actors from the original cast, in addition to Singer and others Jane Badler , should take part, but this project was not implemented. A remake with the German title V - The Visitors was broadcast from 2009 and came to 22 episodes in two seasons. In the final episode of the remake, Singer made a guest appearance as Lars Tremont .
Singer also frequently appears in theater productions and teaches at the Heifetz International Music Institute in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
