Emilie de Ravin (born December 27, 1981 in Mount Eliza , Victoria ) is an Australian actress who became known for her roles in various television series .

Life

De Ravin began taking ballet lessons at the age of nine . At 15 she was accepted into the most prestigious ballet institute in Australia. She was on stage for many productions of the Australian Ballet Company as well as for the Festival Danceworld 301 .

From 2004 to 2010 she starred as Claire Littleton in one of the leading roles in the American television series Lost . In the horror film The Hills Have Eyes (2006) she played a supporting role.

His marriage to fellow actor Josh Janowicz in June 2006 failed after just six months. In 2009 she made a cameo in the film Public Enemies opposite Johnny Depp .

In 2010, de Ravin starred as Ally Craig in the movie Remember Me alongside Robert Pattinson and Pierce Brosnan . Since February 2012 she has played the supporting role Belle in the fairy tale television series Once Upon a Time - Once Upon a Time ... , which was expanded to a leading role for the second season. She is engaged to Eric Bilitch and has a daughter and son with him.
