Beat Blaser

Beat Blaser (born June 19, 1953 in Zurzach ) is a Swiss jazz musician ( alto and baritone saxophone ) and music journalist.

Career

Blaser was member of the Jerry Dental Kollekdoff to Urs Blöchlinger and on the plate The cooking Inferno heard (1978). Then he performed with Notspielplatz Zürich . From the end of the 1980s he was part of the Intercantonal Blasabfuhr and was involved in the group's first three albums. He also belonged to the Aargau saxophone quartet . With his own group Music Inc. he released the album Flatbush in 1997 . Tom Lord has 9 recording sessions between 1978 and 1996. In addition, he oversaw a jazz show for three years on the private broadcaster Radio Argovia .

He then became music editor for Jazz at Swiss Radio (DRS 2) , where he also moderates the program Jazz aktuell .
