Beate Heister (born Albrecht , born October 5, 1951 in Essen ) is a German entrepreneur and heiress and co-owner of Aldi Süd .

Life

Beate Heister is the younger of the two children of Aldi Süd founder Karl Albrecht (1920–2014) and Maria Albrecht (née Tenbrink; 1923–2013). Her husband is Peter Heister (* 1947), with whom she has six children. She rarely shows herself in public.

Billions of dollars

Beate Heister is a board member of the non-dissolvable Siepmann Foundation based in Eichenau . The Siepmann Foundation is 100% owner of Aldi Süd. The US business magazine Forbes estimated the company value of Aldi Süd at around 27.2 billion US dollars in 2017. Siepmann is the maiden name of Anna Albrecht, Beate Heister's grandmother . The foundation holds the total assets and trademark rights to Aldi Süd.
