Beate Neubauer (* 1947 ) is a German historian and author . As a city guide, she offers thematic-historical city walks on the history of women in Berlin .

Beate Neubauer is a historian with a focus on women's history in Berlin and Brandenburg . Before the fall of the Wall, she worked for a position at the Central Institute for Higher Education at Humboldt University, which she resigned in 1988 “out of inclination, not out of compulsion” to work as a journalist for the GDR women's magazine Für Dich .

From 1989 she worked with Claudia von Gélieu , whom she had met before the fall of the Berlin Wall. Together they founded the city tour company Frauentouren in 1994 , which has set itself the goal of making women's history visible and thus contributing to the emancipation of all people. Her field of work and research is in the area of ​​women's history from the Berlin Middle Ages through the Enlightenment and Romanticism to the German Empire .
