Beate Rennen-Allhoff

Beate Rennen-Allhoff (* 1951 ) is a German psychologist and professor for vocational education in the health professions and educational psychology . From 2001 to 2015, Rennen-Allhoff was elected president and thus director of the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Race-Allhoff received her doctorate in education from the University of Cologne in 1982 , after studying psychology , education , sociology and philosophy in Cologne and Bonn . 1991 followed her habilitation in psychology at the University of Düsseldorf . She then worked as a research assistant and lecturer at several universities, such as Cologne, Marburg and Freiburg. In the meantime she worked in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Race-Allhoff set up an information system for nursing training that was awarded the 2001 Multimedia Award in Nursing.

Teaching at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences

From 1995 to 2001 she was the founding dean of the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences for the nursing and health department and was then elected rector of the university for five years in 2001. From 2009 to 2015, the newly created office of President of the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences was elected and thus the first woman to head this institution.

  • Member of the University Council of the University of Hanover
  • Member of the Brandenburg University Structure Commission
  • Expert activity for accreditation agencies, foundations, jury for Lower Saxony Science Award

Life

Race-Allhoff is married and has two children.
