Career

Witte always played for the TTC Uster club , whose women's team was coached by her father Reinhard Witte. At the beginning of the 1980s she was one of the leading young people in Switzerland. So she won the youth championship U18 1979 gold in singles and doubles with Carmen Witte . In the U21 age group, she won singles in 1980 and 1982, and from 1980 to 1982 three times in a row in doubles with her twin sister Carmen. Overall, she was in the categories of youth SM (singles, doubles, mixed) team for TTC Uster and Elite in (singles, doubles, mixed) 24 times first.

Among the adults she won a total of 10 titles: 1983, 1986 and 1987 in singles, 1982, 1983, 1986, 1987 and 1988 with Carmen Witte and 1985 and 1989 in mixed games with Martin Singer. Together with her sister, Beatrice Witte contributed significantly to the seven-time win of the Swiss team championship at TTC Uster in the years 1980 to 1985 and 1988.

From 1981 to 1984 Witte was nominated for all four world championships . Since the Swiss table tennis athletes have not yet been among the best in the world, they did not come close to medal ranks either. She played in the Swiss national team for a total of 11 years.

After a break of several years for private reasons, Witte began playing table tennis again in 2005. With the women's team of the TTC Uster club, she rose as a player and coach from the lowest division to the women's national league A.

Private

Beatrice Schempp-Witte's twin sister Carmen Witte Ehrismann was also a national player. Schempp-Witte lives in Uster today. She is married and has a daughter named Liza Schempp , who also plays table tennis at the TTC Uster. First, she and her sister did a commercial apprenticeship at a bank. Then both completed a kindergarten teacher training course and later graduated as speech therapists. Today they work as speech therapists, albeit at different schools.
