Beatrix Wesle

Beatrix Wesle (born July 13, 1966 in Überlingen , Baden-Württemberg ) is a German marketing specialist and producer.

Life

Beatrix Wesle completed an international degree from 1990 to 1994 at the University of Economics and Law in Berlin and at the Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge with a focus on media communication and marketing. From 1994 to 1995 she studied economic history and Spanish at the University of Zaragoza in Spain.

As a program editor for film purchasing and in the marketing of cinema and TV films at the traditional Berlin-based company Tobis Film , a subsidiary of the franz. Canal + Group and Pathé, Beatrix Wesle worked from 1995. Subsequently, she took over the areas of financial communication and corporate communications as head of the executive staff position and led the successful development of corporate communication and the investor relations department at Advanced Medien AG. The company was first listed on the Neuer Markt at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in 1999. Wesle then took on additional tasks in the areas of cooperation management, partner engagement and new business at Advanced Medien AG (now Advanced Inflight Alliance AG). The company held various corporate interests in manufacturing companies in the United States.

From 2001 to 2004, she headed the Los Angeles-based media company Menemsha Films Inc. in Europe. In addition to mandates in the field of private equity investments, she was managing director of the production and sales company Atrix Films GmbH and the production unit Grasland Film GbR. As a co-producer, Wesle u. a. Tortuga - The incredible journey of the sea turtle . In 2008 she produced the documentary film by Byambasuren Davaas The Song of the Two Horses , which celebrated its world premiere in August 2009 on the Piazza Grande in Locarno . It started in German cinemas on June 3, 2010 and has been shown at more than 30 international film festivals. After theatrical releases in the Netherlands, France, Spain and Switzerland, the film was released for the first time in Mongolia in 2012.

As an expert and juror, Beatrix Wesle is active in various national and international film financing bodies.
