The Beaupré Cove is a 1.5 km wide bay on the Danco Coast of Graham lands north of the Antarctic Peninsula . On the east side of the Arctowski Peninsula , it is located as a side bay of Wilhelmina Bay immediately northwest of Piccard Cove .
It was first mapped during the Belgica expedition (1897–1899) led by the Belgian polar explorer Adrien de Gerlache de Gomery . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1960 after the French hydrograph Charles-François Beautemps-Beaupré (1766-1854), who instructed the officers of the Astrolabe and the Zèlée for the Jules Dumont d'Urville's Antarctic expedition, which lasted from 1837 to 1840, in surveying work .
