The Becca d'Oren (in French : Pointes d'Oren ) is a 3525 m slm high mountain range on the border between the canton of Valais in Switzerland and the Aosta Valley in Italy . The mountain is part of the Combin massif in the Valais Alps .
The Becca d'Oren has a total of three peaks:
- the eastern peak, at 3525 m slm the highest of the three peaks
- the middle summit, 3497 m
- the western summit, 3351 m
The normal route leads via the Rifugio Nacamuli al Col Collon to the Col Collon pass and then further west to the three peaks. The Becca d'Oren can also be climbed from Arolla . The entire ridge is surrounded by glaciers : in the north, the firn fields of the Becca d'Oren feed the Glacier du Petit Mont Collon and the Glacier du Mont Collon . In the south is the small Glacier d'Oren Nord .
The first ascent of the western summit took place via the south-western ridge on August 26, 1897 by Ettore Canzio , Felice Mondini, Nicola Vigna, Giacomo Noro. A day later, on August 27, 1897, Ettore Canzio, Felice Mondini and Giacomo Noro stood on the eastern summit.
